Until the mid-1960s Indonesia’s transportation system was very
poor. As an island nation, well-maintained waterways and
inter-island shipping are vital to Indonesia’s economy.
Rebuilding and development progressed slowly until early 1980s, when
several of the main ports were modernized and inter-island transport
services were improved. The main ports for International trade are
Jakarta, Surabaya, Semarang and Medan. In fact, ship owners are
given greater freedom to choose routes and schedules which may
benefit to traders and businessmen at the end.
Almost since the day of the company's inception in 1998, PT. Pataya
Raya has developed a reputation as an International Freight
Forwarding and Customs Clearance that can competenly handle even the
cost demanding assignments, when Indonesia was hit by
multi-dimensional crisis, risk taking was too high to make company
survive, US Dollar currency hit unbelievably strong and
uncontrollable that made all goods items were priced consequently
high up.
We realized that Indonesia still has potentiality of rich soil and
natural resources, so, we decided to continue moving on with strong
vision, mission, objectives and beliefs that the company needs
professional skills and caliber staff to enter the uncomfortable
market condition to challenge.
With our headquarter in Semarang and other offices in main Javanese
Ports (Jakarta Branch, Semarang Branch & Surabaya Branch), our
company is ideally structured to carry our overall freight
operations into and from Indonesia.

Brief History.

Established on 1998 focusing on custom clearance
activity at Tanjung Emas port of Semarang – Indonesia,
founded by Mr. Andreas Budi Wirohardjo and Mr. Edward
Sofiananda.

Building Forwarding Division on early 2000.

Building Trucking Division on early 2001. Until Now we
have 40 units of trailer trucks.

Mid 2002; Answering demand from our Customer starting
warehousing activity. Also broadening our network, at
current time we have our office at Jakarta and Surabaya.

End 2002; establishing Container Depot Division, in
cooperation with Port Authority of Tanjung Emas
Semarang.

November 2002; become agent of HEUNG-A Shipping Line.
